I find it a bit odd when functional players can’t get clubs. Wonder if it’s the wages they are asking for.

He’s probably got his mortgage paid off so one assumes he’s got a price at which he’s willing to do the work, and a level at which he’s willing to do it, and if nobody wants to meet him where he wants to be then he’s happy enough to do something else.

I like it when you see players happily bombing down the leagues after their serious career is done… or bobbing around the tinpot leagues of the lesser world (like the A-League) but most don’t really seem to fancy that.. and I don’t blame them. It’s hard work.. unless you’ve got Harry Arter’s agent.

Fewer games, in the sunshine, play like Messi. Not sure Joe Lolley will have too many regrets.

    It's a tinpot league...but it's a great gig.

Vlachadimos played 45 minutes for Newcastle tonight. I assume Pliers played the other half.

Indeed. I could never help myself from adding " and Pliers" whenever he is mentioned.

There's absolutely no reason you wouldn't. He's excellent. Unless the opposition can kick the ball at the goal.

Remember this game from 94/95. 3-2 and a late Collymore winner. I think Des Lyttle headed the assist and earlier in the game Lars Bohinen scored direct from a curling corner.

In terms of "minutes played x fondly remembered" metrics at Forest, there's few players if any that are higher in my rankings than Kienan.

Indeed. If he could only have stayed fit, Keinan & Garner were the only loan players I’d have loved to have signed permanently

Cheikhou Kouyate is still a free agent. Seems a bit odd that you'd go from functional Premier League squad player to no club at all, absent significant injury.

Linked with dirtyleeds and Stoke in last couple of days.

Not Djed? You are dead to me.
But definitely those two. Still the case, too.

    Djed to me?

I'd have had those three and Zinkernagels bagels. Still believe he would have done a decent squad job for us.
