Isn't that a bit raw prawn-ish? I said the notion, I didn't accuse anyone of saying it, and the whole spin off conversation arose because @Brid criticised me for saying that Kane was a no.9 who doesn't scored very much. Which I didn't.

I can't legislate for the voices in other peoples head. I'm just trying to help with reading and comprehension.

How else are we going to have an actually satisfying argument?

First off, you need to go to the right room for an argument…

I’m very confused about the Harry Kane debate. Is he ex-Forest?

Sounds like Brereton is going to join Sheffield United on loan.

That is slightly annoying. He could be quite effective for them.

He hasn't scored once for Villareal. Half of his career goals came in a single Championship season for Blackburn. I don't really rate him, although in his defence he's still somehow only 24.

Only if he stays on for next season's promotion attempt. They aren't staying up by signing players his ilk. They'd probably need mid-20s points from their remaining 18 games.

He's only started twice for Villareal, both those games on the left wing. I wouldn't expect him to do well in the Premiershipleague, but he'll score the winner against us.

Leeds sent Djed back to Spurs. Wonder if he turns up wherever Cooper's next job is.

I'm delighted that we can talk about Jonjo Shelvey in this thread now.

Having worked in Salop for a few years, my Twitter X feed is full of '21 years ago today Nigel Jemson scored a brace as Shrewsbury knocked Everton out of the FA Cup'. I remember watching it on TV. I didn't remember Ian Woan set up Jemmo's second and Scot Gemmill was playing for Everton (and in the wall Jemmo curled his free-kick around for the first goal)

How an earth were Jegielka, Woan and Jemmo all playing for Shrewsbury at the time.

I see Rooney was in the wall alongside Gemmill too.
