On review, I think the penalty is the right decision. Anywhere else on the pitch that's a free kick and no one argues.

But what's the offence? High boot? Reckless challenge?

Feel like Bellingham is there on reputation currently though.

Morgan would do better. Beats players, more creative passer.

The games in a rotten place if that's a penalty. You can't try to block a shot and get kicked?

Isn't trying to kick the ball near an opponent dangerous/reckless?

I'll take it for today, but it's not good for the game.

Technically I think the offense is classed as dangerous play. Dumfries put his studs in the way of Kane's follow through.

I don't necessarily disagree with your view, but in the context of how the rules are applied today it's a foul.

I think Morgan would hold his own and he's certainly good in tight space but he'd not be a goal threat.

Not saying he's a better player, just that his normal performance level is much better than Bellingham is playing tonight.

And it's not like we're in the championship anymore, we're at a better level.

If that's true then they can basically give a foul for any contact. Or not, as is often case for actual real fouls. Which I suppose is the latitude they want for the new cupboard army.

I can accept the ref, at the speed of the game, giving that either way. I cannot accept a stoppage to play, and a bunch of law specialists, with access to all the angles and slomo, concluding that is a game changing statistically lumpy foul.

    I'm out.

I kicked someone in the bollocks with the follow through of a crossfield ball last night. They were on my blind side, and tried to charge the pass down. I didn't even see them until I was trying to send their testicles over to the left wing.

Apparently it should have been a foul, sending off, and three game ban.

As it was we all just laughed.

It's a contact game. If you are kicking on the field of play, you are sometimes going to catch people.

For all their possession England haven't created much this half and the Dutch are starting to see more of the ball in our half.

Shaw has been largely pointless. Doing nothing.
