It is likely to be back 3 with Walker on right and TAA as right wingback and Saka on left. I hope.

Somewhat disjointedly, Foden in a prematch BBC interview just confirmed they're playing new formation with 3 at back and Southgate when asked prematch by same broadcaster has refused to confirm, although he was asked about Saka at wingback and answered questionson it. So sounds like they are playing 3 at back but Foden didn't get memo not to tell world. I think this reflects that we aren't well organised. Luckily the quality we have is so good that this might not matter.

If we win the ball it's despite Kane, not because of him. He then offers nothing to the break.
A forward who does one of the two things, or could even hold the ball up, for me.

Mainoo and Konsa have been excellent. Foden is just not able to find space and slow everything down. I would like someone who can run playing there who will stretch things and is intelligent enough to get in positions that Kane can exploit with his passing. I would also like Trippier not on the left.

Mainoo - definitely not a holding midfielder - is our best goal threat.
