How very dare you. If this was my board I'd threaten to ban you for such insolence.
Is it possible this Konsa rumour has got muddled with Gomez, as he does play left back. Or maybe Southgate is taking inspiration from Paul Hart's early Wes Morgan as a marauding left back experiment.
"They seen to lack urgency, or being ruthless, they seem lethargic. They lack aggression, they need some energy. There's no passion."
Yes, yes, yes, but will one of you fucking idiots please give us the benefit of your vast knowledge, and tell us where they should run, who they should get on the ball, how to structure their defence, and what patterns of play they will be looking for on the ball, how they will make spaces, and what sort of transition and static play they will structure?
No, of course you wont. Because all football coverage is more akin to me waffling my way through a business degree, than imparting technical knowledge to a clueless watching public. No wonder those who have little direct knowledge, think it's fucking easy, England are great, and just get annoyed if we aren't smashing everyone.
You can learn literally nothing from these planks. You have to use your eyes.
It's really simple. Give the ball to Foden, Saka, Bellingham as much possible. Give the ball to Kane in the box as much as possible. When we lose the ball attack the opposition and get it back as quickly as possible with Rice and someone hard working and precise like Mainoo and instruct them to give it to better players. Carry the ball forward down the channels as fast as possible with Walker and someone who can do that on the left. It's not rocket science or corporate taxation, it's kicking a sphere of air around on some grass. We can do all those things technically as well as any other team and we have better athletes.
If we really wanted to play without Kane, then what would make greatest sense would be having Bellingham in the middle of the attack like he plays for Madrid with something like Gordon and Saka flanking him and Foden behind them. I could get on board with that if I had too, and if dropping Europe's greatest goalscorer and our captain was something we really wanted to do. You'd then have Mainoo (probably) and Rice, and whatever could be mustered for the rest.
