The first bit was a joke. The second bit wasn't.

German companies are making a killing out of our trains. They are probably paying to have theirs run down, so they can repeat the model.

Can't summon up much enthusiasm for Che Adams on this showing

Everything he has done, I've been able to see him do in a struggling Forest side.

Guessing two points and -4 GD isn’t going to get one of the four best third places?

    These two are dreadful.

What a terrible game. Terrible football and terrible-looking neck injury, looks like Vargas head got bent right round on Gunn's forearm. It would have been better all round if these two had just stayed at home.

Scots should have had a penalty though.

Shankland has looked far better than Che Adams.

    But that's game Hungary.

Surely he's just got to be "better than the youths we currently have"? No-one's expecting him to replace Taiwo and Wood except as cover, are they?

He is a not particularly fast not particularly prolific not particularly physical striker. He works fairly hard but he's unimaginative and he's a reasonable finisher. Fine for the championship. I'd rather have Brereton if we are in that market, bit more to him and still room to improve.

I described watching that as grimly fascinating. Which it was on a number of levels.

Or, alternatively, the Scotch grabbed the defender’s shirt and then threw himself to the ground in what I thought, in real time and on replays, was a laughably obvious attempt to manufacture a foul. I’m not surprised Shearer thought it was a penalty, because Shearer was so good at cheating he probably doesn’t even know the difference any more.. but as much as dunking on refs is a legitimate way to pas the time, their job really isn’t helped by coaches and ‘experts’ lining up to criticise them for occasionally not falling for this kind of shite.
