I very much hope you’re right although both of them, particularly Bellingham, seem to have gone off the boil in the last few weeks. Maybe they’ve just been saving themselves for the euros?

    It's Scott McKenna day!

Let's see what standard we are up against after these first few matches.

    Chicago: Dialing in.

Who the fuck is Porteus and why is he being picked ahead of Scottie McKenna?

Genuinely interested in the scotchland game. They will be bang up against it, but have a chance if they play a good game. I prefer good quality football with real jeopardy, than elite level teams steamrollering decent teams. The feeling I have for this game is that excitement that can only come with the possibility of a level playing field.

...and it's not even that much of a level playing field, when they are playing germany. Just more so than a lot of 'ship games.

I’ve no idea who he is. But I was sat in front of Steve Clarke at the WFCG for a game during our first season back and McKenna had an absolute mare. So maybe he remembers that as well as I do.

Nothing quite says football like a shit dance segment. Apparently.

On this evidence, Germany / Scotland is about as even as Man City / Queen of the South would be.

That's Porteus out for the tournament. Maybe Mckenna will get a game.

    Maybe should have started McKenna

I nearly replied that he's a thug CB who Watford bought from Hibs. A description he has just proved.

I suppose this is what happens when you expand tournaments to let utter shit like Scotland in. But it’s amusing.

I would say this is more uneven than Man
    City v Sheff Utd…

Largely, I think, because scotchland have not got it right. They either needed the back lline higher, the front line deeper, or 1/2 between the lines ( maybe from a five). Germany have had no trouble finding space.

On for the last 15 of this one.

    What a guy!

Probably the best moment for the Scotch was the manager ranting at the set piece coach. "What are we dicking about at? Get it in the fucking mixer!". I like to think.
