Bellingham is running the show, as well as scoring the goal. He has a lot of swagger.

Feels like the referee should be getting his book out soon.

Apparently Kane hasn’t touched it yet and we’re in the 23rd minute

    He's good at penalties.

He's also roughing them up and creating a lot of space off the ball for the runners. Which along with twatting the ball well if you give him a sniff is kinda his thang.

I cannot quite fathom how good Bellingham is. When the blue nose twats retired his shirt after they sold him to Dortmund I laughed because great for them simply means better than Paul Peschisolido. But they were actually not over-doing it. He has the head of a 32 year old in the body of a unit of a 26 year old with unbelievable confidence, movement and technique. He makes Gerrard and Lampard look like Danny Sonner and Sammy Clingan. The Serbians may be giants but they look scared of him.

I don’t mind Shearer on MOTD but he’s Birtles level at this.

Worse than that is Guy Mowbray and his constant tonguing of Bellingham

Good to see we've done the work on staying high. Shame about Kane's 'pressing', but it is what it is. Couple of scares when they've got in crossing range. Hopefully we get another before they put us under. For me that was a penalty on Walker. No attempt to play the ball. That's why players dive. No margin in staying up.

Except he's not roughing them up and his movement is non-existent. I don't mind him staying as a centre-forward - it's rare he shows such discipline - but some movement in that role would be nice.
Particularly noticeable when both Saka and Walker get down the right and look to cross and Kane is just stood still.
Worryingly, last 10 you could see Kane beginning to drop deeper in an attempt to get involved, crowding the space Bellingham and Foden have been enjoying.

Would be strengthened by Toff at left back. Trippier can’t play there at all.

That's harsh on Barry. This is the worse I've ever heard Shearer. He's not a great co-commentator at the best of times (tbh, there are very few good ones out there) but he's never been this bad before.

A particular bugbear of mine is the way that his pace reduces, when closing down, to make sure that he never gets there.

Clearly he's piss scared of a tackle. Presumably his ankles can't take it.

Our weakest link for me looks like TAA. Obviously got lots of ability and capable of playing in a good ball, and intelligent enough to switch between inside and out to the right when it suits which is deeply funky, but unfortunately he has mistakes in him. Maybe he'll settle though.
