He’s been England best player. And was very good in the first game.

England score and then play like shit. As usual.

Have England posed any threat since scoring? I don't remember one.

Couple of interesting passages of play there. Kane showing why he wouldn't get in the squad as a number ten, then foden making a run to show why he should.

Midfield is shite. Lots of supposedly decent players but no plan, no urgency.

As Lineker said - the press starts from the centre forward. Englands is ambling around in midfield.

Yes old dead legs shit again, all he does is score. Unlike Foden.

From second phase back post tapins yes. His strength. Killing Englands high press, and playing a deep crossfield ball that would make a twelve year old blush, is the price you pay.

What did you think of the run Foden made where Kane ran into his space?
Or when England (except Kane) pressed high and won the ball, but when the ball reached Kane he tried to shoot through four players rather than switch it to the player free on the left?
Or when Kane dropped really deep to receive a throw in and then gave it away?
Lineker nailed it - Kane is a world class finisher but his lack of movement and pressing negatively affects Englands tactics.

Scenes as the BBC come around to tricky's point of view.

In other news Shearer is either drunk or having some kind of embolism. (No, I don't really know what an embolism is.)

This is all I've been saying. I don't hate Kane. I can just see what he can do, and can't do. To make the rest of the team play closer to their optimum we need a forward who does the things Kane can't. I have no problem with him playing when the setup, or state of the game, merits a classy second phase finisher. Which for me is rarely early on when the opposition can run. He definitely doesn't get in as a false nine. We have better players in that area whose game he smothers.

Isn't he Switzerland's reserve centre forward?

Genuine question for tricky (or anyone, really). What did Pep want with Kane? Can you see how he might have worked with him to avoid this happening at City? I doubt he was blind to the issue.
