You feel that Parallelogram will not continue to whiff the ball when two yards from goal.

Smash and Grab
Don't care, Dame Chloe Kelly.
Best team lost but that's football, Saint.
Watching the post match celebrations, someone needs to write some new celebration songs. At least Freed From Desire is this century.

Tru dat. Ian Wright has just pointed out that We Are The Champions (of the world) is a strange one when the world champions are sat quietly at the other end of the pitch.

You were watching on ITV? I always wondered who that guy was.
Smash and Grab
Give a shit?
To quote Peter Taylor all those years ago, “it shows our name on the cup, too”
It feels somehow fitting that the English hero appears to be someone who managed to take a penalty that wasn't shit.
The English hero was the goalkeeper. Went the right way on four penalties and kept out three of them. Was pretty solid throughout the game, too.
Chloe Kelly will get the headlines understandably because of her assist and winning penalty, but Hannah Hampton's was the standout performance.
Yes, I couldn’t really work out why they were making more of a fuss of Agemang than Hampton.
I know Agemang got young player of the tournament for her few minutes but still.
Saved no more than the Spanish keeper. That's just where penalties are in the women's game. Wasn't great in the game (eg the near post failure to intercept that led to a ball chest high three yards out in the middle of the six yard box). But okay.

How did you miss the ‘world class save’ the commentator was shouting about (when it was hit straight at her at an angle and nice height from 6 yards).

I also watched on ITV so that I didn’t have to listen to Robyn Cowen shouting at me for 2 hours.
History is written by the victors. If Spain had put some of their clear cut chances on target, the England goalkeeper wouldn't be in the conversation. Without changing a single thing that she did.
