I checked out of international football the moment Tuchel was appointed. Nothing personal, but i see it as a no possible win with a German in charge.

No chance the spineless FA sack him now though. I mean. Look where we are.

Where we are is lightyears behind Argentina, Portugal, Spain, France and Germany. (And a lap or two behind a fair few others). They are now refining their systems and coming up with plans B, C and D. We have a manager who has a decent track record and is a good tactician who seems to be falling straight into the trap of a ponderous, risk-free England. We might have a plan A if he pulls a serious rabbit out of a small hat but it’s risible how off the pace we are in terms of international football.

The strat was normal level of trade for a Tuesday night. Bit shit for straight after a big game.

    When I say a bit, I mean a lot.

Morgan looked good when he came on.

    Shocking VAR decision.

Bellingham went after the linesman on the full-time whistle, who disappeared down the tunnel sharpish, so be booted a drinks container instead. All quite amusing.

I also thought Gibbs-White looked bright when he came on. How difficult was that early chance on his left foot? It looked decent from where I was sat, but we were quite low down behind the England dugout.

Yeah, it was a decent chance. Standard MGW though I'm afraid in front of goal - the guy can't finish.

Feels like Tuchel has lost what was good about the Southgate regime and not provided the tactical upgrade we were supposed to be getting in return. And picking Walker and Henderson is mystifying, even when he's only looking ahead to next summer. They are done today, they aren't going to be selectable next year.

Elliott Anderson very impressive first half for U21s. Some outrageously good passes and pretty much running the midfield.

20 mins to go and England have come back from 5-1 down after 48 minutes to level at 5-5, Zach with the fourth.

I didn't watch, but he's part of a defense that conceded 5 goals in 48 minutes.

Didn’t he score the 4th for both teams?

On the evidence of tonights game, England U21's are playing very similarly to the senior side. Crap.
