My old uni flatmate who works at the FA has sorted me a couple of tickets for the Latvia game on Monday evening, so really hoping Morgan might get the nod for that one from the start.

Will have a few hours to kill pre-match in central London with the old man. Any have any recommendations of decent places to visit off the beaten track? My mate's suggested Coal Drops Yard behind King's Cross which he says is decent for food and drink.

Coal Drops Yard is what wealthy tourists think London is.

Well, I'm neither wealthy nor a tourist, so perhaps I need to look elsewhere.

It’s very nice round there. But more of a schlep to Wembley

That’s Portobello Rd or Borough Market, surely?

At least Portobello and Borough have a bit of proper London about them. Coal Drops is just anodyne and manufactured and soulless.

In 1995, Borough Market was as derelict as KingsX was in 2010. It had two stalls.
Both were extremely important parts of London 150-200 years ago (canals, ships, railways). A lot of KingsX is redevelopment.

Feels unlikely given he barely made the squad.

Coal Drops is fine. Will be nice if the sun is out.

Borough Market isn't a bad shout tbh. Some of the old school boozers still exist and are decent.

Also easy on the Jubilee Line to Wembley.

No posts for a day then all we get is wordle and cockneys wanking off cockneys. International breaks never make for good Talkback.

Not sure when you last went, but I've headed there for lunch a couple of times in the past year or so (as I used to do a lot pre-lockdown) but had to turn around as too many large tourist groups, its worse than trying to get a pint at half time at the CG.

There are some nice pubs in the area though, but stay away from the actual market.
