It’s amazing that Rashford gets far more stick from our cunty politicians and the right wing press than Henderson does. Yet Rashford is taking a position that it’s difficult to argue with. So I wonder why they have a go at him?

If you are pointing and shouting at anyone that isn't them, it's a result?
Madri? You mean the fake Spanish lager that’s a marketing tool for gullible Brits who think it’s from Madrid?
Is it? Fuck. I thought it was hand brewed in Spain by artisans, then delivered in industrial sized volumes direct from Iberia, by a committed hoard of conquistadors in full battle dress who loaded in onto their donkeys and set forth for the challenging trek across the Pyrenees and the even more challenging swim across the channel, fuelled only by sherry and tapas, driven on by a fanatical devotion to the pope and their divine quest to stock the fridges of provincial Tesco's with a mid-level fighting juice. Appreciate you clearing that up.
Why is The Pope, an an Argentinian who lives in Italy, getting involved in Anglo-Spanish lager politics?
Listen, I just drink the stuff. If you need any more cutting edge intel you'll have to ask Guru.
Face it: you just don’t want to admit that you thought it was proper Spanish beer, as opposed to a tarted up version of Coors, brewed in Stoke.
Well I for one, am convinced that top brewers in Madrid look like hipsters that have watched too much Peaky Blinders.
You mean Coors isn't brewed using glacial run off in Saskatoon province, watched over by a sacred eagle who tops the Molson totem pole? I'm beginning to think you're full of shit.
Must be. If he doesn't have a cheap lager habit to flush the pipes.
Might have a couple of bottles of Tiger later, all the way from Singapore.
Fun fact, you don't want to drink water that's come off a glacier. It will be highly polluted due to the age of the ice. Centuries of penguin shit and worse.
The only one likely to be near a glacier, and melting it, is chic.
He's almost certainly immune to penguin shit. He's just not so immune to piñata shit.
I probably said this already.. but I wouldn’t, and I kinda had the chance.
Fair enough if anyone here would.. but it’s not as if any of us have footballer money in the bank. That’s relevant when we ask people to put their principles above their bank balance. Henderson made his choice and whilst plenty of others might deserve the treatment.. but that is just whataboutery. He’s got the right to go and earn that money… he doesn’t have the right not to be criticised and boo’d as a result. He shouldn’t be playing for England anyway, having retired from real football.
I believe you to have good values, but you still reside and earn your living in a country that continues to discriminate against an indigenous population that has been persecuted for hundreds of years. I do not think that makes you a hypocrite, you have to live in the world as it actually is. I am grateful that people who hold the values that you do, and can contribute towards the conversation for change, help provide that voice in society.
I feel the same about Jordan Henderson.
Much as I am a fan of his qualities, at this stage of his career I would move past him as an active member of the england squad. In the coming cycle, and where he is playing, means he will not be at the level that I would want. Of course that does not take into account his leadership and the standards that he enshrines in the younger members of that squad, and the value that has (see ManUre, Chelski).
Different issues.

Well yes, but the general values are in line with anywhere else I could live. And, hey, at least the government here (that I was allowed to vote for) gave me a chance to vote to take a small step towards addressing some of the ways in which indigenous people are being mistreated.. for all the good it did. And, of course, my paycheck is one that I need, and that doesn’t come from the people perpetuating all that discrimination, with the implied condition that I don’t criticise them for it regularly and openly.
So yes, we all exist in imperfect places, and some of us even chose one that’s not the one we were born in, but his place and his choice are really very different.
I expect lots of people hold the view that white folk emigrating to Australia is inherently ‘problematic’ and it’s not one I’d argue with them over. We all gotta draw our own lines.
