(Notable mention of McClaren also, what a prat, reminds me of how in his press interviews he talked to the fans like we were all fucking thick ... insert your own gag)
I struggle to have too much of an issue with it. Doesn't seem dissimilar to me to a bunch of Forest fans of a certain age (and some sections of the media) getting a bit giddy and overly-emotional following promotion in 2022. Was a similar gap for us as them qualifying for a World Cup.
I joined the game last night about 15 minutes in, so missed the overhead goal, but it was a great match to watch. I really enjoyed it.
It had everything. Wet and windy night under the lights, big match with a lot at stake, raucous crowd, three terrific goals, last ditch defending, loads of missed chances, dodgy penalty decision, dodgy sending off, and a team that was at one point 17-1 down on goal attempts triumphing right at the end. It was great TV.
I've just remembered Graham's post about wishing Forest had signed David Batty and Robin Van Der Laan to have a midfield of Woan, Black, Batty, Van Der Laan.
Whereas I always wanted us to sign Josh Maja - imagine him switching play to the overlapping right back - a pass that's key from Maja to Aina...
I'm so shocked. I got my first speeding ticket in 33 years of driving a couple of months ago. Apparently "it's my first speeding ticket" isn't an excuse.
