With the change in law equalizing the age for bumming with the age for fannying happening in 2000, I thought it might be possible that the boy was 16 at the start and Mills was potentially hard done by ( by the legislation, not the boy) but I did the maths and its not. Scott Mills (allegedly) bummed an under 16, noncing is the correct answer.
It's all a bit odd on timings; offences in 1997; investigated 2016; case closed 2018; BBC sack him 2026.

Yeah, I can't get my head around this.
Not sad to see him off the airwaves as I can't stand him as a DJ, but he does seem a bit hard done-by with all this. Accused of an offence, no charges brought, 10 years later he loses his job over it.
