Turner was shocking. His inability to use the ball hands over possession to the opposition. He made a couple of saves he should have made but he also palms the ball into danger. He should never play for us again. That being said, booing your keeper mid match is the action of a bell end.

Yes I thought Niakhate was the best player on the pitch as well.

Disappointed by some mugs booing Turner around me. Shit mistake but the fans can do better.

Still, it's been a belting few days. All the better for being totally unexpected

I thought Montiel had his best game yet, Yates (my PotM) and Dominguez excellent, Danilo looked much closer to last season's form as well.
But Man U were absolutely awful (a shadow of the team that comfortably beat us repeatedly last season) and a better team would have put four or five past them. Wood hardworking, but fairly anonymous. And for every 10 times Elanga receives the ball, he gifts possession to the opposition nine times (the fans' reactions are quite funny when you look at how many mistakes he makes compared with Turner)

Morgan should have been sent off for two yellows during the little fracas,

I missed this bit. What happened? And how justified is the pathetic whinging?

The idea that ManU are the victims of referee bias is rather unconvincing.

You expect a forward to take risks and play instinctive, risky balls at pace. It often results in lost possession but less often lost goals and points because it happens in lower risk areas of the pitch. No drama, particularly for a 21 year old raw talent who gets more goals and assists than most. If you have a 29 year old goalkeeper on the other hand, who does a constant frank Spencer impression, and regularly costs you goals that is more of a problem and harder to forgive.

He went kind of berserk and lunged in for three tackles in quick succession with three different players, but he won the ball each time and then pointed that out with some enthusiasm to the referee.

It was good. He really cares and gets into it.

Cumulatively worth one yellow, although he should have been awarded the first free kick when he was pushed over. Just plastic Mancs whining.

Be fair. They are notoriously hard-done-to by referees.

The most impressive part of this is MGWs spin, utterly dismissing the United player trying to get in his face

I could watch that a hundred times and still not be bored of it.

Anyhoo. One careless foul and two aggressive, but ball-winning, tackles. Like every single ref, I don’t know what counts as bookable dissent these days.. but enthusiastically pointing out that you got the ball cannot be it, unless we really do want a five-a-side league.

So half a yellow each for the foul and getting more in the refs face than he ought, but half off for the entertainment value of the spin. Net decision just about ok.

That was fantastic. He was arguably fouled, definitely revenge-fouled, and then put in 2 that were over-exuberant and fun. But the spin on Varane(?) was gorgeous.

Watching the goals again, they're basically the same goal. Last season I think Casemiro is the man occupying that space and closing down Dominguez or Morgan. Is he injured?

Yes, but also I think they have no decided that he’s shit and cost way too much anyway.. so even if he was fit he might be under ETH’s marvellously expensive patio.
