Or actual that Lakeland? They are definitely legitimate, with high street stores all over.
We have a fair amount of Lakeland stuff in our house definitely a pukka company.
But given the chaotic level Chic's life operates at, this being someone pretending to be then was my first thought.
I'd be calling up to validate on a number I independently sourced as sounds like phishing but if legit could be a decent opportunity.
If you can get the trading name I can check them on credit safe for you in the morning.

Not being funny, but if I was pretending to be say Tesco, and I was trying to scam someone, and the target asked me for my business name / company number / address etc - I could just look those up online and send to Chic right? I presume there have been some more rigorous checks gone on over DMs/WhatApp than are in this thread?
Well no, we wouldn't expect you to change the habit of a lifetime. The key thing is for Chic to establish he is dealing with the Lakeland, for which I beleive Psychobel above offered to research the contact and I believe I also suggested finding a number himself for the company to check.
Should it turn out to be the Lakeland, you can give them £2.5m worth of credit.
Just check that the email being corresponded is from the actual company, and give a call to the contact there via their official phone number, rather than the direct line provided.
