Talking of Franz Carr it was nice of Ndoye to pay tribute to his crossing ability.

I see Ange is adopting Paul Smith, like SSC before him.

He had the trainer's on at his press conference a few days ago. I presume Paul Smith send the manager a welcome package!

The one crumb of comfort is that even with our best defender off the pitch, we looked far more comfortable with real full backs.

That 45 minutes felt a bit like our first season back up, but with slightly better defending.

I don't think we have been too bad. Savona coming on has helped both sides. Morato looks much happier in the center. Arsenal look a very good side all round. Really good in tight situations. It's not a West Ham repeat.

Apart from all the entertainment, we shouldn't lose sight that we are only behind to a worldy strike, and are still in it.

I don't think we're still in it anymore. Terrible defending.

...don't know what VAR were looking at...because before the ball left the defenders foot, Eze was already marginally offside.

I'll have to see it again to see how badly Morato did tracking Gyokeres.

Can't help but like Calafiori. Bit of devilment about him and an acknowledgement of the dark arts of defending.

Tends to leave a bit on the attacker but smart enough to mostly get away with it, which I respect.

I agree, but the refereeing helps. If you take the rake down the back of Ndoye that tore his sock - I don't imagine a forest defender would have got away with that on an arsenal attacker.

Ndoye rather proved Tricky's point there about failing to come away with the ball.
