With a rested CHO (bruise) and a rested ANDO. We should have some inkling how this is going to go pretty quickly. It is kind of a must win so we don't get cast adrift kind of game.

Wood could be available. Jesus and Taiwo are. I think Hutchinson plays in this game. We really really need to score some goals.

I think we do... 3-1 and we wonder what the fuss is about. I think it will be tense for a while though.

Who plays in the Luiz role? I suspect Yatesy for some good old shithousing.

Chicago: In it to win it.

Would be a total shock if so, but I hope he does.

In the brief cameos he has had, he has seemed one of our more effective players with a good delivery.

It'll be the same team as United with Yates in place of Luiz.

Or Sangare. But yeah, I'll be amazed if Hutchinson plays (unless CHO is injured). And to be honest, I've not seen enough to warrant a start

Agree. But he's yet to play a minute under Dyche I think? So can't see him playing Sunday in a crucial match.

I got called out for it by everyone who knows so much better than me last time I mentioned that I've seen nothing from Hutchinson that looks remotely worthy of being our record transfer, but it seems like three managers in a row feel the same. (Recognizing that Ange's endorsement isn't a strong argument!)

One of the three subs at half-time at Bournemouth

You actually said he wasn’t very good after he’d just played well, that was more the point people were making.

It’s fairly easy to say every new signing ever is crap as a lot will be.

And we all know that record fees are very rarely the best players anyhow as it just doesn’t work like that.

I’ve seen enough of him to see a lot of potential. Maybe that will be realised once we hopefully become more stable, it’s not been easy for any of the new players given they are on the third manger since they signed so it’s still far too early to judge for me.

We aspire to be like Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton - but what they all do is sign young players then give them 12-18 months to settle and grow. We write them off after 5 games and sell them back to a European league for half the cash.

They don’t pay £30m+ for those players though. I don’t think Marinakis does aspire to be like them, either. He wants much more than mid table safety.

Also none of them would go Nuno > Ange > Dyche. Couldn't see any of them appointing any of those three, let alone three so different managers in succession.

My comment was more targeted at the fans than the ownership. We fans can't be writing players of if we want to try and be like the clubs I've mentioned.

The fees create an expectation though. And i don't really think the fans matter that much. The fans wrote off Wood, Williams and Elanga (and probably others)

I'm not quite sure what point you are trying to disagree with me on anymore.

We aren't like the Bs, the club aren't really trying to be and there's no point pretending otherwise.

The result is that we have a higher ceiling and a lower floor.
