Well as much as I like his work rate and ability to hold up the ball, not Jesus. I’d probably try a game or two with Lucca up top and in the meantime work in training on a way of playing to his perceived strengths.
There’s also enough quality in that midfield to contribute.
We’re better than the three teams below us and probably better than a fair few of the ones above. Goals are definitely the issue, but they are for everyone down there apart from Leeds.

Ha! No I haven’t seen much yet in his games for us but it’s clear from looking at his goals scored in Italy that the guy has a bullet header. Perhaps we could give him something in the air to have a go at? After all, the one time we have done so far, he scored.

Looking at the quality of our strikers and general shooting it is possible.
Lucca may be decent eventually, but I don't see him contributing much this season.
Jesus is just a little too slow of thought to score in Premier league. And our midfield by and large need about 30 shots to get one on target.
I'd like to think we will score some from the way we play, but have been here before with the too good to go down tag and Garry Bannister up front.

Watching one of the many pre-season 0-0 draws v whoever it was (Chesterfield?) I commented that this season's shirt gave me Bannister / Rosario vibes.

Dreadful queues getting in today. Arguments breaking out on the way in the Upper Clough. Stewards causing chaos by giving incorrect advice. Oddly they were metal detecting everyone, which seemed to be the cause.
Thought Sangare was excellent today. Gutting to come out it with nothing. It feels like we are fucked now.

A real heartbreaker at the death. But I think we’ve shown enough today and in Istanbul to have at least a modicum of optimism. Long way to go, lots of twists and turns, it’s a funny old game etc etc…

I can see us getting something at Brighton next week, and West Ham losing against Liverpool.

As one of the most pessimistic people on here, I actually feel more upbeat. Good performance on Thursday, we played good football today. Yes we didn’t create many chances and yes we totally lost concentration (twice) in injury time. But we haven’t stunk the place out like we’ve done over the last ten games. So some progress.
