We’re very stand off-ish on both flanks too. They’re managing to get their crosses in almost every time.

We've been the most 'freestyle' I remember us being. Getting drawn to the ball in numbers, big overloads at the back post....loads of space out wide. But we match up very well against these, and they are not massively equipped to do simple traditional football patterns of play, and they are rubbish at getting on things in the box. Which might be why we are doing it this way.

I can understand not committing players forward on the counter at 2 up, but that did mean the ball started coming back rather quickly and we were just starting to creak.
