Well after sitting through a shitshow of a season by my New York Giants, (hi Forest fans!), I was pleasantly surprised by how good the two playoff games were yesterday. I was at the game at Soldier field when my Giants team managed to squander a 10 point advantage with less than 4 minutes to go against Chicago (although I shouldn't be surprised because we broke an NFL record by losing after being up about 32 points against Denver with about 6:30 to go, which is almost impossible)....

Anyhoo.... The Bears have been coming back from the brink all season and have now managed it 7 times when seemingly dead and buried and they managed to be 18 points down to Tricky's Packers. (Full disclosure, had money on the pack the useless fucks..) and after Green Bay missed two field goals and an extra point, the Bears came storming back and won with less than a minute to go. Pretty electric. Not a fan of Bears fans as they are whiny cunts but the team is exciting this year. Pity, thought the Pack had it as the legacy was that the quarterbacks; Brett Favre won at 27. Aaron Rogers won at 27 and now Jordan Love who just turned 27 were on a path to glory again. Buggered it up. Down to kicking really. Anyway, great game.

in the other game, The Rams almost fucked it up against Carolina and that went down to the wire. I watched that game on delay too as work was in the way. As it always is.

Chicago: Having something to root for.

I may have to watch the Rangers game later. 12 goals appears in line with Sens unpredictable season so far....

This is objectively the best thing the NFL has done in years.

I mean obviously it's ridiculous and makes a complete mockery of the Canton voting process, but it's fucking hilarious. Serves that miserable old wanker right. Maybe try being less of a cunt.

The Super Bowl was an absolutely awful game, but at least the right team won. The half time show was terrific and made even better by the fact that it was so upsetting to all the worst people, and I went to the best Super Bowl party I've ever been to at my friend's new place - his building has a basketball court in it so we played some 2 on 2 after the game and I remembered how much I love playing even though I'm absolutely shocking at it. I even met a couple of really nice single ladies. All in all, a terrific night.

    Obligatory FTP, obviously.

Stayed at home because I have a life and watched the Superbowl on massive delay because wifey wants to watch the adverts and then go for a walk half way though the game. Bad Bunny was a great performance even though I don't speak Spanish and had no idea what he was banging on about. I did notice that nothing was censored so he was shouting "Puta Puta", a few times. (Whore in English and quite naughty in the latin language) and the network didn't censor it. Still jolly good fun even though his music is rubbish.

Seattle were always going to win having 2 ex-giants on the team (sic) - and yes I know one of them was also an ex-Jet too but he was pants then...),) as they have a ferocious defence and Drake Maye is just a lad.

Wifey took so long to get around to the game that I had to finish it this morning when one client canceled. Not the best Superbowl but not the worst either. Didn't meet any single ladies but did enjoy the latina lovelies doing the bum thing. We are hopefully going to Puerto Rico in three weeks and I will try not to make it too obvious when there is dancing all around me in San Juan. Anyway...carry on.

    The Giants are so fucked....

Watched to just past half time and only because we were at a friends. Haven’t given a shit about the NFL for almost ten years.

Bad Bunny was good and I enjoyed the show. Used it as a lesson plan for my Language and Literature students today and they seemed to appreciate it. Especially the several Spanish fluent students.

I’m not a lyrics person for the most part, so it not being in English didn’t bother me. And I actually didn’t dislike the music as much as I thought I might. The salsa adjacent moments being my favorite.
