Gave up my Jets season tickets after last season in utter disgust at the United States, the New York Jets specifically, and in particular their owner Woody Johnson.
Just booked a trip to go watch week 1 vs Pittsburgh.
I'm at the Met Life Monday night to see Oasis. I assume you drive there normally, but any info on getting train back to Manhattan post gig gratefully received.
Dead easy. There's a spur line on the south side of the stadium (I forget which gate it's next to) which goes directly to Secaucus Junction, then you just go one stop from there to Penn. It's pretty efficient.
Has anyone bought tickets for an NBA game at the Garden? If so, are they fairly easy to get hold of on a one-off basis and how far in advance do they go on sale?
I assume you mean Madison Square (NYC) rather than TD (Boston). You can always get tickets for the Knicks or Rangers, but you will pay a fortune for them. There's a lottery for single game tickets and I don't even know if you can register for them overseas, but I would look into it right now. Both teams are almost exclusively sold to ST holders though, so you'll likely be buying on secondary markets like StubHub and you'll pay a premium.
Thank you and, yes, I did mean NYC. Going to watch an NBA game has been on my bucket list for a while and we might be in New York on the evening they play the Celtics, but it's just occured to me that's a fairly local fixture and therefore I'd imagine tickets are even harder to come by.
I had a brief flicker of interest in the armoured rugby, because I saw that the packers (with their new more likeable* quarterback) had a good start. Was slightly confused when I saw that they had beaten the commanders (made up name?), until I remembered that they were the redskins.
* Probably not very likeable, I know nothing about him, but he's not Aaron Rodgers.
Jordan Love is actually really likeable, he comes across as an entirely decent and well adjusted guy. I'm sure the Packers will turn him into a bellend eventually as they managed to with their last two quarterbacks, but for now you're good.
That reminds me, I really should change my avatar.
