My Toon mates are saying they knew Anderson was good but not this good.

I was with them. I was concerned about how one paced he is (a 'trundler'). I wasn't fully appreciative of how he could trundle in the ninetieth minute, as effectively as he did in the first, having worked his arse off the whole time....and still being the quickest on the park to see the picture, spot the space, and pick and execute the pass.

I often think you are full of nonsense. But there isn't a spare word here and absolutely on point.

Bet @JRs_Cigarette has forgotten all about those trains now

currently at Warrington Central having traversed Warrington on foot with London trains from. Liverpool mostly cancelled.

Presumably because the crew are in a massive sulk.

    Don't care though!

I thought Minteh was the better purchase.

They'll make a big profit on him. Probably quite soon.

You never quite know how they will train on. We wouldn't have got Anderson for what we did, when we did, if anyone seriously thought he would be where he is now. That's football.

And what twats like Eddie Howe forget is that Anderson is only as good as he is now as he’s been playing everything week in a (Ange aside) fairly decent side. Which has allowed him to develop.

If he’d stayed at Newcastle he’d have been behind Bruno, Joelinton and Tonali so would be nowhere near current levels, and perhaps may have never been.

Exactly. Development comes from playing, and from playing with good/experienced players. Developing good habits and knowledge of the level. It bemuses me when you get a team like chelski signing thousands of young players, and refusing to have any experience for them to learn from. A good number of those players are not going to develop how they might have, and are going to be worth less than they should be.

Although their value might not go down as much as if they had signed for manure.

I suppose this means Vlachodimos is one of our greatest ever transfers

Are you thinking in or out? I thought 'out' was pretty great.

Don't know if there was any money involved.

(It wasn't about the value of the player, it was an accounting driven set of transactions)

    1st game on MOTD NOW!

    1. Sangare penalty, not a penalty
    2. 1st goal offside, interfering, offside. But this is new football with made up rules, so no idea.
    3. Jesus goal, a goal.

Rooney did the analysis. He drew some circles around players and told us where the ball went.

They had N'Doye not interfering because he didn't move.

And the 2nd goal was fantastic. An overhit right to left cross retrieved, some short ball retaining passes, a brilliant run into space, an outside of the boot pass, an intelligent cut back following a sexy spin, an attacking run from the opposite full back who anticipates the space and the pass and provides a composed finish.
    Seriously - that's a fucking good goal.

Agreed. When you get the full backs combining that close together, around the opposition six yard box, Dyche is clearly relying on his typical long ball, focus on set pieces, anti-football.

    Winky woo.
