Or Boly or Cunha. He certainly isn't going to put up with Zinchenko at left back, so a mobile left footed central defender, who'll give us a bit of extra aerial power at set pieces makes sense. He played O'Brien there for Everton (so does Moyes, to be fair) and he's 6'6. If he does, it reduces the value of Murillo significantly.

You don't think any half decent scout looks at Murillo and thinks "We'd play him at CB" ?

  • 20 Oct 2025, 9:06 a.m.

Surely he'd play Cunha or Savona at right back and neco at left?

  • 20 Oct 2025, 9:16 a.m.

Maybe but I think the meat and potatoes approach is to put your right-footed full-back at right-back. And I think Dyche is a meat and potatoes manager.

It scans perfectly and everything, if this isn't a good omen I don't know what is.

At the moment we concede two goals a game. I'd rather Murillo at centre back but something needs to change.

I don't normally watch soaps but after Dirty Van served Angie divorce papers at the weekend I can't wait to see what happens next on West(Bridgford)(career)enders.

You're ignoring the fact (FACT?) that Neco (Nico?) Williams is a better left back than right back.

I don't know why it is, but he is more uncomfortable on the right than his usual uncomfortable self.

  • 20 Oct 2025, 10:22 a.m.

Reasonably confident that Simon agrees, but assumes, as I do, that Dyche will be less counterintuitive.

I want to see more from Cunha. I think he's got the lot, but maybe not as Milenkovic's partner.

I disagree. Also I think putting him on the right will mean he gets 4-5 goals a season.

    @BillEdgarTimes on Twatter

When Ange Postecoglou flies back from London to Melbourne he could watch every minute of his 8 games as Forest manager on his laptop and still have time left to take in the three Crocodile Dundee films before landing.

My choice always would have been Neco and Savona as the full backs without Aina. I think Zinchenko is a train wreck of a defender. Might be okay in Europe but the Premier League will eat him alive.

Cunha is an interesting one because I believe he could be a superstar. I would have him in for Morato. Wether that means, centre back in a three or even as a full back for the last ten minutes due to teams lobbing balls into the box I don't know. And Like Taiwo, I wouldn't rule out Zach Abbott having a few goes too. I think the lad has a lot going for him and in order to kick on her needs some games. Morato and Boly I really think they have served their time and i would have them in reserve in case everyone gets wrecked. Obviously the ginger prince might have better ideas but I don't think that some are too far wrong about the possibility that a centre back might play further wide. Ange lost me when he played Morato at left back against Arsenal. I thought that was suicidal.

There will be a role for Yatesy and Dom. Obviously the best three midfielders are Luiz, Anderson and MGW but sometimes Sean may have to go blood and thunder against some teams like Citeh and Bournmouth. If we can get something out of Porto and not get thrashed at those south coast cunts then i would be happy. Also point of order M'Lord. Dilane Bawka has played wing back numerous times for strasbourg so he could also be employed a be successful too.

I think McAtee is the odd one out and I cannot see much of a role for him but we shall see. Sean is going to have to be pretty clever to get the best out of this top heavy squad.

Fixing the defence has to be the priority.

Chicago: Moving forward by playing back.

Took him a month to get there...
