I find these a bit hit and miss but i liked this one:

Doesn't this Silva rumination kind of hinge on his actually wanting to come here?
I'm not sure I would after recent events.
It seems to mostly hinge on a supposed love in between the two from their Olympiacos days, when Silva won the title and also beat Arsenal in the Champions League.
That said, Silva left Olympiacos after one year, having signed a contract for two, apparently citing "personal reasons".
Love this. We appointed a shiny new manager five minutes ago and now we want the club to spend eight big ones (plus pay-off for the incumbent) to get the next shiny one.
Unbelievable, Jeff.
There was nothing shiny about Postenoclue, and he didn't cost anything to hire except wages. If we'd fired Nuno and then paid the 8M to get Silva we'd have been acclaiming it as a bold and smart move, so doing it now only has the added cost of a few weeks of paying the fraud and presumably a bit more to make him fuck off again.
You are falling for the sunk cost fallacy.

I meant Postecoglou was shiny-new. I also meant that we've just paid off one manager who we'd very recently handed a three-year contract on (presumably) much better terms. We'd then be paying off a second one after a month to drop £8m on getting in a third. It's hilarious. This was supposed to be a season of such promise and excitement.
That's before you consider the point that none of these managers come with a guarantee, including Silva. Do we get our money back on the £8m if he turns out to be shit?
Apparently there are tons of tickets left for the Porto match still. Fans not wanting to turn up to watch this abysmal excuse for football will send a message pretty clearly, I think.

.
Yeah I thought it weird I was sent an email telling me my sales window was open. They don't normally do that.
(I'd also already bought one).
this abysmal excuse for football
It's front foot! We are going for it!

Yes. I was surprised this morning that I could get one. Also pleased that I hadn’t gambled on hospitality as I thought regular tickets would have sold out.
Anyway, it will be like the odd days in a half empty BC lower…..
They might not open the the upper tiers for this one. Like the old (not that old at all) days.
Can confirm shit loads of tickets still available.
I am pretty surprised how quick the fans have turned here. Our second European home fixture since the 90s, and a more glamorous club than the first one. I'm looking forward to it, whoever the fucking manager is.
Unless its Brendan Rodgers.
I’ve bought a ticket if that helps?
It’s more than two weeks away, if it doesn’t sell out, it’ll be damn close.
