I didn't say that. I said there's a difference in the relationship between a voice that you've heard for a couple of campaigns, versus a new one. Whoever the principals are.
I think I would normally be in this camp. And rationally, I know I ought to be.
But as far as I could see today, we were more interested in tippy tappy playing out from the back, with defenders who are ill-suited to it, than keeping the ball out of our goal, or scoring in the other one.
We've also gone from being solid, great on transition, but unable to break down low blocks, to still unable to break down low blocks but leaky at the back and a car crash at set-pieces.
I don't think I've ever been against a manager being given time before, but I honestly have no clue what giving this guy time would achieve other than sinking us further into the mire. Get him fucked off asap.
Mourinho is as well isn't he? Or did he take the Portugal national team job?
He does feel like a EM hire. Obviously passed his prime but he'd probably make a better fist of not being relegated and progressing a bit in the Europa.
Of course, if we get Murillo and Luiz fully fit over the break that could be game-changing. Zinchenko too although maybe that's a double-edged sword with his defensive shortcomings.
Ultimately though, I guess the decision to stick or twist depends on who's available and willing to take the job. To me, it needs to be someone with (positive) PL experience, which probably means Dyche if it has to be a free agent.
