Michael Gambon - "There's no pig, mother"
Michael Gambon - "There's no pig, mother"
That was a year ago. Unless this was a witty Maggie Smith quip that went a-wooshing and it's a coincidence.
Todays dissecting a frog.
Maggie Smith was in "A private Function", where one of her most memorable lines was "There's no pig, mother". The mention of the previous demise of Michael Gambon, made me think of the quote.
Our head of fifth year was called Maggie Smith.
Naturally, she was known, between a few of us anyway as 'Saggy Miff".
I do not know if her miff really was saggy or if she too has pegged it yet, but given she was well into her 60s even then and that was 35 years or so ago, I'd imagine it quite likely.
True story.
Many years ago we had a 2 hander (oo-er) with Dames Maggie and Judi. During a matinee the company manager came into the LX office and told me Maggie had muttered to her in the wing (her character got to leave the stage on the pretext of 'going into the kitchen') that 'the lighting wasn't right'. I went up to the LX box where goth fuckwit chargehand was operating the desk. He looked up at me and shrugged. I looked at the desk and saw he had placed his massive hardback Dungeons and Dragons book above the master fader and it's weight had slowly nudged it down. So all the lights were about 30% dimmer and all the scrollers were split colours.
I had to relay this to the CM who then had to go and tell Maggie in the interval. Sadly I was not made privy to her reply.
Did dungeons and dragons guy have to subsequently throw a double six, to get out of mordor?
He cast magic disappearing act between shows.
Somehow less cringe than the story about Vin Diesel playing D&D with Judi.
I hope his funeral procession features a massive convoy.
Don't copy that, big buddy.
"Kris Kristoff-is-gone", surely.
