It was staple listening c 1989 / 1990 at work when the 'zoo' format was relatively new for daytime radio. For which I had no barometer anyway given I'd only just left school. Being just 16 at the time I though it was funny but it was of its time.

That all being said by the time he took it to the breakfast slot a few years later it was a bit old and by the time Evans et al were doing it, it was just tiresome and annoying.

And there wouldn't have been that insufferable ubercunt Moyles without Wright either so, y'know, swings and roundabouts.

Don’t think I’ve ever listened to Radio 1, apart from maybe on the school run with the kids. Back in the day, it was Luxembourg and Caroline. Then no radio at all apart from Radio 2* on a Saturday before 5 Live came along. Now it’s Radio 4, with sometimes a bit of 6 on a journey.

*Radio 2 has always been for old farts, hasn’t it?

I quite like radio 2 apart from the identikit cast of giddy female BBC presenters. The music is mostly ok in a comforting, familiar kind of way.

I like Sara Cox in the afternoon, Zoe Ball is irritating, can't stand Vine, or Scott Mills, possibly the worst DJ ever.
But I used to like Steve Wright too, so what do I know?

Radio Two presenters seem to me the product of a crude BBC algorithm around when Radio One DJs become irrelevant to the younger audience.

I rarely listen but did quite enjoy Sarah Cox's show on the long drive down to Dorset last summer, however I suspect this was more because she was spinning song after song from my era. Little Miss BW was less keen, from memory, for exactly the same reason.

One of our better people who just got elected to parliament dropped dead at a charity fundraising event yesterday, aged 49. And within minutes the antivax loons had been spreading their lies about him.

    “Vaccinated?” “Vaxed?” “Jabbed?”

Like the fucking seagulls from Finding Nemo.
