Let me be clear, I wasn't attempting to police anything. Doesn't bother me in the slightest whether Forest paid a tribute or when they chose to do so. I just thought it was unusual on a comms level that they didn't put something out last night. Whichever press officer was on call would have been taking frequent calls about it all evening, I suspect.
I loved the Bartman. Big part of the UEFA cup run in 1996, hat-trick away at Crewe in 1998 and the promotion winner in the Reading game, his goal to effectively relegate Blackburn along with us in 1999, and then the captaincy and all those free-kicks under Platt. Wonderful player and the tributes being paid overnight all seem to recognise a lovely human being too.
