I once walked out of the bar I worked at, up towards Hoboken’s Main Street where the arts and music festival was in full flow and happened to time it perfectly with the New York Dolls launching into their signature song. Their first two albums are bloody great, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Always liked EJ, a good mix of achiever and agitator without the arrogant knobhead streak that often accompanies those traits. F1 was a lot poorer when he left, the last authentic garagista team to go anywhere. When Jordan sold it marked the dawn of total corporation dominance of the sport and it will never be as good again.
