Painfully lacking in intensity 1st half.
Painfully lacking in quality all game.

Looked like a tired performance to me after Thursday and up against a very decent side, who too many supporters perhaps took a little lightly.

They will finish mid table. The sort of team we need to be beating at home really.

Perhaps. They've also beaten Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle this season, and currently sit fifth. They're a good side.

Newcastle have been abysmal away from home, Chelsea and Man City inconsistent.

I’d put it down as a home game to win.

And having played on Thursday. I think we have to accept these results on average are going to be worse than they would otherwise have been.

Four players that started on Thursday started today.

    Morato in for Murillo.
    Gulp.

Why? He's a really good central defender.

Sure but they've spent the 8 days focusing on how they could right the wrong of the 7-0. We only started thinking about them on Friday.

I presumed he was being sarcastic but maybe not.

Morato has, until today, been much improved this season.

He's also the only other left-footed centre-back, isn't he? I think Cunha, Boly, and Abbott are all righties. Bindon too, but he appears only briefly from under the Undead patio.

Not essential to have a left/right combination though.

Chris Wood situation is weird. He played an hour for New Zealand on 14th October and came off the bench after 70 minutes against Chelsea in Postecoglou's last game on the 18th. He was then described by Dyche as "touch and go" for Porto on 23rd but since then it's been taken for granted that he's just out.

If he comes back with a shaved head, it's probably one of "those" injuries. Doesn't look like the type though.

My brother saw him on a train back from London last week, so I don't think he's been in the slammer.

Sounds to me like your brother and him have conspired to provide each other with an alibi. How reliable is your brother?

On a train! Pull the other one.

He was in 1st class (Chris Wood, not my brother) if that helps make it more believe. One sec, I'll find the dodgy photo he took ....
