Fair play to Turner he has come out after the game and done a few interviews and he is admitting his mistakes head on. Clearly a good bloke but we have been robbed at 10M. Even in his better games the signs have been there. He has made a big thing in the last week about playing the game late, focusing on basketball and not even taking goalkicks until his early 20s, and having defenders do it for him, that's treading a tight rope between quirky candour and sounding quite pathetic for a professional goalkeeper. Maybe he will get better and peak in his 30s but his feet are fucking terrible, he has no presence, he flaps and I don't want him in our team now unless Vlachodimos is even worse, which would surprise me. I don't mind him on the bench.

He reminds me a bit of Costel Pantmillion, though I am not convinced Pantmillion wasn't the better keeper.

Turner has been fine. But if the Greek was brought in to be No. 1 then this game gives Cooper the chance to bring him in.

Sangare looked good today, passing was better than I thought he had. Murillo also looked like he had something.

We look a better team but not quite getting the results yet.

I think it’s more meaningful to compare to the same games as last season (with the promoted teams taking the place of the relegated ones in order). On that basis, we are currently level with last season.

I don't really agree (not that it matters). We're finding out what works and what doesn't, and it's going ok. Not great and not bad, and definitely progress.

Cooper just said on MOTD that he was the best crosser of a ball in the club.

With apologies to Art because I don’t want to give Muriel a nickname because it was his first game and I was a late starter due to people coming around to watch the game whilst drinking bourbon and eating Carolina reapers (really really hot peppers), in the morning.

Not the brightest idea but it did add some spice (see what I did there?) to a game that that started well but devolved into a Nottingham Forest cock up performance. Turner had been fine this season until today. His distribution is fine. His throw to Elanga in the first half when their defender fell down was a nice bit of thinking. His catching is fine and his shot stopping is generally better than Hendos. Having said that (and he admitted it after the game), he could have cost us the game. Definite penalty when he was caught on the ball. It is refreshing to see the Brentford forward get up and try and put it in but VAR missed a nailed on goal incident. It shook his confidence and I think in other games he would have probably done better with the header.

We started great and the midfield looked very solid. I actually didn’t even know Aina wasn’t playing for 10 minutes as we looked good. Muriel I think for a debut was very solid. Says a bit about Joe though when he was preferred but I am not complaining. Made some instinctive clearances (including the one off the line).

Nico Dominguez is the real deal and he definitely needs a nickname. Really happy he got that goal. Definite upgrade on the conductor.

The wingers were a good idea even if Elanga was doing his impression of Super Franzy Carr by having no end product but he was a menace until he lost confidence.

After Niahkate cocked up then it all changed. Brentford started the second half better but that was the moment and we can consider ourselves lucky to get something out of that game. Our home form isn’t stellar at the moment and it’s not quite clicking but I think we have strength in depth now. I thought MGW getting dropped was a nice kick in the pants to be honest. Toffolo I didn’t even know was in the squad. A nice cameo.

We do need that good win though. I hope it will come. Palarse and poo-ton next.

I suspect Turner may get dropped now but we shall see.

We seem to have plans for all the games. Just got to execute.

    Chicago: Sweating it a little.

Cooper alluded to this in his extended MOTD interview. We are transitioning from a counter attacking team that aimed to avoid relegation to a more possession based team that will need to break teams down. This is essential if we are to become the team our owner wants, and I think is the reason Sangare and Dominguez will prove to be such important signings.

The transition will take time. Copper talked about how we didn't vary the pace of attack sufficiently. I would say as we become more at ease with this style of play, Dominguez and Sangare will become our deeper midfielders, with MGW adding additional threat in place of Mangala at home. We might see a continuation of the counter attack setup in away games this season, with the expectation of better results than previously, but home fans might need some patience as we evolve our game at home.

    Super-Freuler?

It’s funny but not fitting. I think we should start a poll. Clearly Art would like that.

Chicago: Taking it to the people.

How about calling him Dominguez??? It works and everyone knows who you are rambling on about. Just a thought

No way that I can repeatedly successfully spell domingguess.

    The Dominator

If he's not the conductor maybe he's the driver.
