Morato had one of his best games yesterday, but he's not the answer long term and I'd have Murillo back in asap.

Fortunately its a game I wont remember. Jesus was the MOTM for his endless work and getting no balance from the ref. Constantly dragged down. And yes, Hutchinson had a good match. The boy reckon Jesus would be more effective as part of a forward 2 with someone like KinderBueno.
While I appreciate Gibbs Whites endeavor, his passing radar was way off. Would have been worth bringing on McAtee for at least half an hour, especially as it seems MGW is carrying an injury.
Despite the win, I am more concerned about Everton now. Especially as it will be my first game of the season.

The omens weren't good yesterday, what with a two and a half hour drive due to an accident on the M6 followed by not being able to get a table at the Yew Tree desi pub, which was rammed. Had a very good (but very expensive) curry elsewhere though, which restored some hope before the game. I thought we were pretty good in the first half but panicked once we'd scored. Sean looked pissed off at the way we sat back and invited them on. Great result though, if a lot more squeaky bum than last year's game.

That was an ugly ugly game. Wolves are hopeless and we made them look a little better than they were at times. The passing was off. The intensity was off. yes, there were a lot of fouls but crikey everything was so sloppy.

jesus was very good. So was Omari and the Serbinator but everyone else couldn't seem to find a barn door let alone another player. Igor is a great header of the ball. N'Doye seems like he has zero confidence right now and did someone tell him to stand in front of the goalkeeper again? Does he know the rules?

Ingo, you could have added panache to this game. instead flat. Must do better, but a win is a win.

Would have been typical if we had gifted them anything. They are done by the look of it. Marvelous. Bunch of cheating cunts. They can go back to where they came from,,, (which is of course the West. midlands but I digress)... i think they are also broke too. Probably Mendes took all the cash as usual. oh well. We played the long game for revenge and have contributed to them going bankrupt. Tee hee.

Ingobot You want me to do the Everton match thread? After that performance? Yikes. Pussy... Okay...

    Chicago: Vindictive.

Totally agree with this. I noticed that the BBC had the Wolves formation as 3-4-3. It was more 5-4-1 most of the time from where I was sitting. Edwards is clearly setting out to stop teams scoring and hoping to grab a goal on the break. They were tough to break down (and we still struggle against teams that defend deep), but we ultimately found a way. Wolves are really lacking in the transition from defence to attack, so don't look like scoring many from these tactics.

Anyway, it was the sort of game that could easily have gone against us, and there's something about Molineux that makes it tough for us. I haven't seen us win there often, and that's consecutive wins there now.

There were loads of empty seats in the home areas and no atmosphere at all; I knew Wolves were pretty well doomed a while back, and the fans clearly believe the same.

On to a new ground next week; hoping for a happy return to Scouseland.

There's always been something about the size of the pitch at Molineux that makes me nervous. Maybe it isn't any bigger in reality, but it looks massive on the TV.

Wolves have had quick, direct wingers in the past who have often destroyed us. Even allowing for how shit they are at present, I was still nervous last night when they came at us down the sides.

Quite possibly. Perhaps it's the camera angle at Wolves or something. Pitch looks enormous.

I did the tour last weekend and he said that is not true anymore they are all same size apart from Bournemouth and Fulham that are a bit smaller.

That's because they are tinpot bastards.
