Is my view, too. He has that X factor about him, in a non-Simon-Cowell way.
Really like the cut of his jib.

I agree with Russ (lie down, dark room). The goal return is good (and lets face it, he's unlucky to not have more), but it's the eye test that tells you what you've got.
...and what you've got is a striker with outstanding work rate and movement. Strong enough and quick enough to be a constant threat. Decent in the air. Can kick.
Epically shit tattoos though, and I say that as someone who likes ink.
Agreed. He's brilliant, too, at backing into the centre half (no matter how big the fucker) and then rolling him.
His workrate is outstanding, link-up play is strong, can pass, is two-footed. I really enjoy watching him.
Perch basically said on the radio, and I'm slightly paraphrasing here, "I fucking hate wolves, the cheating bastards".
Which I enjoyed. Told you he was a good lad.
It says on he BBC match stats that Wolves only committed 19 fouls. It felt like they commited at least 19 fouls on Elliott alone.
And the ref lapped it up like this was no problem,
On Jesus, he came to us straight from a full Brazilian season and World Club Championship too. I don't think he's had a break for about 12 months. I don't think we can expect he's still going strong in 3-4 months time, so hopefully Wood gets back and we can rotate them a bit more.
Wolves only committed 19 fouls.
All that means is that the useless ref was able to notice only about one in five actual fouls. Let's face it, it took the brains trust five minutes to spot the worlds most obvious offside, and then they referred it to the idiot with the whistle, for a coin toss decision.
In fairness the ref let us get away with a fair bit as well. I've noticed this ref before (Tim Robinson I think?) and I like him, as much as I like any ref. He seems to be willing to let a bit of contact and back and forth happen, up to the point of someone getting an unfair advantage.
I just wish they'd make their fucking minds up. Can you constantly clump someone for ninety minutes, or is every dragged leg and hairs width contact a yellow card?
I assume of those 19 fouls that 18 were on Ando.
Important win that. Without it we may have given hope to Wolves and this close to Christmas those yam yam bastards don't deserve any of that.
Well done Ingo for his work with the match thread. Chic, back over to you.
Michael Branch. Never forgive. Never Forget.
It looked a bit lacklustre at times but we controlled the game against a very poor side.
Jesus was good as was Hutchinson who fully justified his start. He was never going to be as intensive as in the 20 min cameos but he was lively and set up the goal with a good cross.
I hope Murillo is back soon, Morato scares me.

Maybe we can flog Morato to Liverpool instead?
Morato had one of his best games yesterday, but he's not the answer long term and I'd have Murillo back in asap.
