It’s a bit windy out and we’ve a few injury issues.
Can we pull a ‘Muff and sack it off till later?

There are some interesting comments from a Wolves guy on the Athletic podcast. Talks about how Santo won't talk to players for days with no understanding on the player's part of why, then suddenly next thing it's all bear hugs (he's a big hugger/physical contact kind of guy apparently). Says Santo himself says he can be the most difficult man in the world with his moods and anger, but that he can also be very charismatic. If you're out the team his door is closed, doesn't want to talk to you, it's up to you to work harder and get back in. Will be interesting to see how our squad reacts to him and also how it develops with Mendes pulling the recruitment strings.
'Interesting' is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that last sentence. Terrifying, chaotic, hilarious, frustrating...
Enjoy it. Nuno/Mendez could easily be the peak of our ultimate downward spiral. Hopefully they can hold it together for a bit, with some good Carlos kickaballs for a change.
I'm looking forward to this one. It'll make a nice change for the "will SSC still be in charge next week" speculation not to dominate conversation over the post-match beer and food.
1-0 to the good guys, New manager bounce. Harry Arter to score……
It would be quite something is someone like Konate or Larssen was represented by Mendes and got a shopwindow callup.
There is an article in the Athletic that mentions similar, but also many positives of Nuno.
I guess we like to look for the negatives though.
Mrs Charlie and I have been sick most of the night. Not going today. So I've just put two tickets in the Main Stand on the ticket exchange, if anyone's interested.

Sold now, apparently.

Origi Wood
I think he will go with Pliers in goal because he managed 5 seasons as Benfica's number 1 which is quite an achievement and one that Nuno may have some emotional bias towards and hopefully is a signal he can't be as bad as he seems to be. I wouldn't blame him if he went for George Shelvey though or even just a can of beans. Murillo, MGW and Boly are Williams seem like certs. Is Nuno the left wing back even fit? Tough on Toff if he is and Toff is dropped, but plausible. I think Sangare will be back if his viral fatigue has cleared, and Mangala. Origi would be quite a surprise.
Wow that is a very attacking line up for a so called defensive coach. And Turner stays.

Williams, Boly, Murillo, Toffolo
Mangala, Yates
Origi, MGW, Elanga
Wood
Subs: Vlachodimos, Tavares, Kouyaté, Hudson-Odoi, Domínguez, Niakhaté, Danilo, Montiel, Aina
