Because if you went to VAR for every questionable booking matches would take three hours. The only reason this is an issue is because it was a second yellow, and the only reason it was a second yellow is because Boly took an exceedingly dumb first yellow.
No. This is what you believe. Because this is what you have been told. But actually every aspect of their law changes, process, and application, is contrary to what they said that they were trying to achieve, and what they said they were not wanting to do. You are effectively saying that you don't want the laws of the game, or the application of them, to apply equally over all parts of the pitch at all times, because you are wedded to a shit system that can't work.
If an assistant referee is watching the video feed, like the linesmen assistant referees on the lines, giving an opinion to the referee by radio comms...then none of this is necessary, and none of the bad consequences are in play.
You want to avoid clear and obvious errors, and not re-referee the game in achieving that, then that's how you do it. What this is, or is trying to be, I have no fucking idea. You can no doubt tell me, having demonstrated such confidence in it.
Ouch. Another lead coughed up. Another goal conceded deep into injury time. More free crosses and free headers. Luton within striking distance. All three bottom clubs getting something together.
