Just watching the goals again the ref at Liverpool would've disallowed the first for handball whilst for the second I love how the covering defender slides in to try and block the shot and only succeeds in putting himself out for a corner.
There were a couple of Brentford efforts - first half header that went just the wrong right side of the post, and Tiago back post all alone missing the target - which I had down as goals. We rode our luck a little.
Yes we rode our luck and Brentford will be wondering how they lost that. Bit like us v Brighton and West Ham at home this season, Brentford and Everton last season...
While I would very much prefer not be be involved in it, this looks like being an exciting relegation battle.
What do you think will be the necessary points to stay up, and can we really get excited about the potential of Palace/Spuz getting caught up in it?
I've maintained (perhaps optimistically) that we'll finish above the current bottom 3, but it would be preferable if one of the other London clubs went down. Or both, obv, but I can't see Bumley getting overly involved.
Didn't we have a match a couple of seasons ago, at home, that we were expecting or at least hoping to win, but we gave up an early goal and then lost both centre-halves to injury? And if I am remembering correctly, was it not against Brentford?
I could be making all this up, my memory is atrocious. Don't do drugs kids.
