Fair enough. "Worthy of note" was a little unfair to him, but my point is that we didn't gut the team or sell any key lynchpins.

We didn't strengthen the "team" either. We padded the squad, but if you want to progress, you improve on what you have. We signed back-ups.
Certainly, should have been looking to upgrade in goal and CF (I think everyone accepted Sels and Wood (and Elanga) overachieved last season), and new wingers (sold as an upgrade) have not worked out yet. Douglas Luiz looked like an upgrade on Sangare, but his injury problems were well known.
