Should have subbed Neco and Murillo. Wood should have scored at least one.

We would have taken 0-2 and we need to keep that commitment.

Well one thing that I was pleased with. The reffing was good. There were no shit decisions. See, it can be done.

    So there is that….

We are good enough to stay up. We just need to be healthy for the Undead game.

Must must win next week and that big giant ape Dyche to do his job on Friday.

    Chicago: Fingers crossed.

Quite a bit of post match shitty whining that we megson'd the pitch.

I'd love it I'd we could play like that away.

I heard a brief reference from Gvardiol. Much other whingeing?

What the actual fuck? In what way? We didn't kick them and a Megson side could've only dreamed of having that many shots. Were they annoyed that we didn't let them saunter through / stand back and admire them?
I guess the performance made it worth watching MGW over MSW (if not the result).
I'm still narked over the 2nd goal. Letting KDB have that much space was criminal. Was there no communication from the defence that he was in between the lines? Had Danilo nodded off? Was he just knackered?
At least there was no VAR contention. Although I did wonder why the ref stopped the game with Grealish down in a heap with obviously not a head injury.

They appear to have been complaining about the pitch being dry

Guardiola also mentioned it. Apparently too dry for City.

Well, they should've watered it with their tears during the game rather than saving them for after.

On the BBC text Pep is saying they were lucky the pitch was so dry because that's why we missed our chances. Is he being sarcastic?

Yes. Because like all great managers he’s a bit of a cunt

Seemed like the rain had been torrential this morning so can't have been that dry.

Anyway, so disappointing. I'm sure everyone who doesn't follow Forest will say keep playing like that and we will be fine.

Whereas we all know we will revert to the Everton performance next week and lose 2-0 again.

It tipped down last night, how could the pitch have been too dry?

Maybe this is where we've gone wrong with out last circa 10 managers? Although one of them worked well for a bit. I do actually think we could do much worse than Nuno and probably will though.

Well if we revert to the Everton performance then we won't have 'kept playing like that' will we? We all expected a heavy defeat today. Instead we saw a spirited performance and suffered a narrow defeat with good chances to draw or even win. So though I'm gutted we lost, I'm still going to take the positives.

Only the second time in Pep's managerial career a team has had more shots than his side in both first and second half. Last time was Real Madrid in 2009-10.

Also highest xG V City all season in first half.

Says a lot about how Forest and football have worn me down that I see this as depressing not uplifting.

Without the points deduction you could come away from that saying really positive, good to build on for next season.
