I am strangely quite content with Everton getting a points reduction next season if they stay up!

Notoriously difficult things to interpret, these prophecies. I mean.. look at it.. the runes are all wonky.

18% possession by a winning team is the lowest since records began. Or 2003-4, which is pretty much the same thing.

Woke up early and am aching from yesterday. It’s physically and mentally exhausting watching Forest these days.

Me too. Kept waking up in the night with Forest songs rattling round my brain.

What seems to have escaped comment is that the fans stayed off the pitch. Letting the players enjoy the moment, and celebrate properly.

It really was so much better than a bunch of entitled oiks making it all about them.

You stay right there son, in your shorts and hawaiian shirt, and twirl your red and white handlebar moustache.

I dreamt Forest won. Then I dreamt that was all a dream and Eddie Nketiah scored a 99th minute winner for the Arse. Then I woke up and remembered.
In 40 years of watching football, that was the Best home atmosphere I’ve ever experienced.

Highest league finish since 1996, first time as the top East Midlands team since 2011.

Was yesterday better than Wembley? Certainly it was a better performance, albeit without seeing the ball, the atmosphere was at least as good and it was shared with all those people you don’t know but do from sitting next to for years/decades.

Not sure how sky picked Worrall out as man of the match. He was good but way down my list. Assume it was a local lad/ captain choice. Even though Yates has now become far more of the spokesman and leader from how it looks from the stand.

Not better than Wembley because Wembley had the Big Day Out vibes, but a better victory because Arsenal are a bit better than Huddersfield.
