I thought Russ was in favour of sending offs for non-tackles? Surely sending offs for non-retaliations would be right up his street?

His opinions are nothing if not dynamic.

I’m with Russ. Fucks me right off.

All your moral complaints are ruled invalid by it being Yates really annoying the living shit out of the Manc Cunts. Which is a free pass.

Plus Russ is forgetting that it’s absolutely fine to be a shithead if they play for your club, whilst being absolutely not fine if they play for anyone else.

Fernandez did catch him in the face with his fingers. Could have got an eye. I love him for that as it was quite clearly a tactic because Bruno whilst talented is a major mardy bastard. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if that wasn’t Nuno’s instructions. Yatesy does seem to play in games where a disruptor is needed. Love our Ryan. He also showed a surprisingly athletic turn of speed to get us out of some situations.

Not sure Villa have any mardy bastards. McGinn kind of does the same thing Ryan does but is pretty even tempered. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if Sangare plays in this game.

Anyway, fuck UTD as they got away with some dodgy tackles that should have been called. We won. Yatesy did his job and it was quite obvious we were totally knackered.

Would like a fresher line up in Sosa and CHO against Villa. I am guessing Toffs will be playing and he is always reliable if not dynamic or Maverick like Ola but does the job. He will be against Bailey though so that will be tough.

    Chicago: Shithousing Superstar.

Worth a note that later in the United game Yates went in for a tackle on Bruno, which made zero contact, yet Bruno jumps in the air and rolls around on the ground screaming in agony.

    Fuck him.

Yes, fresher would be nice although the trade off is that it inevitably means weaker.
Out of interest, what have you seen in Sosa that nobody else seems to have? I wouldn't be very confident in a team that saw him (and/or Jota) make the starting line up.

Purely on the eye test, Sosa looks the better player to me. Nuno clearly favours Silva as the more trusted impact sub, though, and he spends all week with them.

I thought he looked ok when he came on against United - won a header that i wasn't expecting him to and generally made a nuisance of himself. But we'll have three clear days between United and Villa and a week off afterwards, so there's no reason not to start with Elanga/CHO.

Jota annoys the shit out of me. Throws himself to the ground every second and is mardy. Sosa looks like he wants to play and thought he did well against Utd. Held the ball up well. Didn’t do anything stupid and was a help not a hinderance. He also had a surprising turn of speed and power. Thought he wanted to make the most of his time. I think he has the tools to make an impact. And if not Elanga can come on and cause havoc.

    Chicago: Talent spotter.

Also speaks the lingo, which, given Dominguez and Sosa have had more visible problems than, say, Jota, might be A Thing. Probably isn't though. Sosa just wants to play for Paraguay and isn't getting picked for Forest.

Also think there is something in Sosa. Seems to know where to be going forward and has arrived in some good positions to score. But....Nuno doesnt share that view and he gets most things right

sosa is the more elegant footballer...but until he gets a bit more grit and drive, expect to see Jota's magnificent eyebrows featuring ahead of him.

Expect to see upgrades for both of them in the summer.

Because he's a bit baby-faced, I think there's a tendency to think Sosa is much younger and cut him some more slack. He is younger, but only by a month. Of course, he's coming from a more unfamiliar country and league, so maybe deserves leeway on that basis.

And language, I think. Spanish is Sosa's second language, IIRC, and he wasn't great even at that.

I like him, and I think we'll need a couple of games from him this season, but we may have kind of leap-frogged him Lewis O'Brien style.

Jota looks too much like Ben Shapiro.
