Little Miss BW's school closed for Years 7 to 10, so she has online lessons through Teams from 10am. Always wondered what that means for the kids without access to a laptop or iPad at home.

We get a passive-aggressive "if you'd like to collect your kids early feel free". Yeah no thanks mate.
2-3 inches my side of Sheffield. My eldest two had a 10am start (eldest's morning mock cancelled), but the youngest two's primary school has had to open as normal as Ofsted are in today and tomorrow.
Almost all of Chezzy's schools are shut.
A boring 35mph wind today with rain. I love it, but for the life of me why can no-one in this city drive in the rain?
Chicago: Road Rager.
Football tonight called off. Gresham shut. I'm fuming after schlepping all the way into the shadow of pride park, for a meeting with accountants. If I can go and talk about forms, the least they can let me do is take my frustration out on my fellow man, on the football pitch.
You’ll be even more of a danger to yourself and others on a frozen pitch. Probably more mobile though, if only from slipping and skidding.
More likely the back of my throat could get cold, from all that standing and shouting.
Frostbite in the finger from the pointing too?
Gloves. Quite the modern player in my dotage.
Confirmation the game has gone.
It has been -20+ for a week here. We have all our house pipes inside and insulated. Just in case we leave some taps dripping. Turns out, most of the dozy cunts around here haven't thought of that and a main pipe has burst at the end of the street. It could be a precursor to an ICE raid but it's most likely the infrastructure is wank and we could be without water for a while.
Modern life aye?
Chicago: Dry as a bone.
Red warnings out for wind over Ireland and west Scotland. Hurricane Force 12 winds and "Phenomenal" sea state forecast off the west of Ireland. Phenomenal seas mean waves greater than 14 meters, which is enough to make anyone sick, except perhaps Brid.
Anyway, the storm formed extremely quickly, only coming into being on Tuesday and has deepened rapidly due to the very cold air flowing into the Atlantic from Canada meeting the warm subtropical air coming from the Caribbean. Forecast to be around 938mb by the morning, which is exceptionally deep, deeper than many actual hurricanes.
So you are saying Russ' fault?
The Canadians are to blame, yes.
TBF it has been fucking cold here the last few days.
