I went for a walk this morning (1.59 km - shattered! ), with a bit of hanging around in the middle. It was about 2 degrees centigrade. I wore a couple of layers of passivhaus, and several log burners. My hands got cold.

No gloves. No hat. I am a real man. Just an out of shape real man. Some of my clients have asked me to mail jail pics as they think I might get arrested. Not outside long enough for that to happen. Surprisingly I think our cold plunge tub might be more challenging.

My knee’s held up surprisingly well. It’s going to be -28f regular tomorrow. I would like to do it again but have to go to work. Oh well.

Chicago: Trying to get back on the pitch.

You are the Chicago Wim Hof. He is also a weird mentalist.

Actually no. Well a bit. It's just a pain. It's cold. Wet feet. Buses and trains grind to a halt. Etc.

    I fucking love snow!

Up mountains, yes. In cities, it can do one.

    Snow!

It will remain -40F windchill here until at least Wednesday night. I went for a walk to the supermarket to pick up food for the work week. Seemed colder with clothes on. Clearly PTSD is good for you.

As for snow? We have had loads of it since New Year's Eve. The Good thing is that the cold is keeping the Mexicans in the neighbourhood quiet as they are obviously hibernating. Give me cold weather any day!

    Chicago: Enjoying the silence.

Are you tired of having your hands cut off by Snow Blowers?

My prices are so low, you'll think I've suffered brain damage!

In the South West of of the Greater Metropolitan hubub of, erm, Lincoln this morning, at around 09:00 on the A46 between the Carholme Road and Skellingthorpe roundabouts, there was a brief flurry for about 5 mins, resulting a 3 three car prang on the northbound (dual) carriageway and shortly thereafter another on the southbound, directly adjacent to the first, caused by, one assumes, fuckwits having a good ol'rubberneck.

This is of course supposition on my part, but it's not too much of a stretch to imagine. Also, given the geographical location, I wouldn't bet my mortgage against windows being licked at the same time either.

This is my annual post laughing at you people complaining about snow.

To be fair to the good denizens of the Lincoln fens, it must be hard enough steering with 3 webbed digits never mind throwing what is practically a blizzard into the mix.

This wasn't the fens. They don't even have the excuse of mutated genetics in the City (sic) of Lincoln for the abject dipshittery it's so well renowned for.
