Saw a vid on Twitter earlier of him grinning like a toothless loon on his boat.

    Did he catch any shrimp?

It's 404 degrees in Nottingham today and the wind speed is over 14,000mph. Mk 18?

    Typical bbc climate scaremongering.

On t'BBC site, this caught my eye:

    t'BBC has written:

In St Petersburg, on the west coast of the state, the water supply has been cut, a crane crashed into a newspaper building

My first thought was "wow, that newspaper building did well to stay up that long, all things considered" with my second thought being "why would someone make a building out of of newspaper. Especially in Florida which is prone to the odd hurricane".

And why did a large bird crash into this paper building?

Well that was rather disappointing. A giant monster that blew its load before it had the chance to do some real damage.

    Anyway, my friends seem alright.

Damn you news for making me interested for about five seconds.

    Chicago: slightly wind blown.

PS: tricky our basement is fixed now and ship shape.

Mid November seems unusually early for the inch or two of snow we got last night.

    Agreed. We all know why.

Just been to the hospital for a scan, and the consultants and technicians were there, but fuck all admin staff. Least in that department anyway. The Dr's weren't amused. It's really not that bad either, buses are all running fine (I got one there) and roads are clear. Think there's alot of snowflakes about. Excuse the pun.

We've got a fair bit more than an inch or two. Buses aren't running to Southwell at the moment, stopping at Lowdham.

Although the main roads seem to be clearing so that might change in a bit.

Started at 7am in mid Wales. A steady fall continues at 9am. Can't claim more than a dusting settled though. I'm sure my daughter's school will find the need to close shortly.

Little Miss BW's school closed for Years 7 to 10, so she has online lessons through Teams from 10am. Always wondered what that means for the kids without access to a laptop or iPad at home.
