Ingo is quite right. They can't stop yachts. Where else can prime ministers have their clandestine meetings with foreign funders, while allegedly on holiday in a tent in Scotland?

Although I doubt that yachts are on the agenda for the likes of us. Or arks. Or even regulating the water companies to deal with water.

Water companies are the real villains here. Water Plus are fleecing me for £75 a month to take away my rain water which is mostly delt with by the sun or gravity.

Heat domes in the Western States averaging over 100f every day and very hot an humid at night.

The weather is schizo in Chicago almost Floridian with humidity and rain showers every day which is a tad annoying. The temperature hasn’t been murderous yet.

But, we (wifey and I), are experiencing our first cicada storm. Millions of the little buggers (not so little) coming out of the ground and breeding and falling dead on the ground, house, garage, fence, trees. It really takes a little getting used to but they are way less creepy than the jumping spiders which are currently in New York.

Cicadas are locust type insects with red eyes. They are harmless but have a habit of dropping on you out of the sky which is still startling when you are trying to relax/do things.

    Chicago: In swarm central.

It's cold and cloudy here. I blame the chemtrails.

Probably have to capture something off the internet as I am a thicky and cannot seem to size a picture properly on the phone through this here website.

    Chicago: Not technologically evolved.

Are they the weird fly things that apparently appear every (pretty much exactly) 17 years in particular regions, or am making shit up again?

I have no idea how, when or why I've heard about this.

Yes they are and they are ugly buggers but quite harmless other than being very very noisy.

    Chicago: Audiophile.

I love the sound of cicadas. Makes me think of Greek holidays. Not sure I'd want 17 million of them though.

'Just Another Day' was shit. I prefer Whigfield for that sort of thing.

I now have 'Escape' stuck in my head. If you like pina cicadas and getting caught in the rain...

Decided after being hammered with work for months now to not play football this morning as it seemed Awfully hot even early. This of course makes me a liar as I promised my friends that I would at least give it a go as the earlier times means there are a lot less arseholes playing who want to kick lumps out of me due to my teams destroying all the opposition during our pomp. Nowadays most of those players don’t play in the league but do play pick up/scrimmage whatever you like to call it nowadays. At night the standard is better with younger cockier players who are aggressive and remember me as a pretty physical player in my prime.

Anyway, I didn’t play this morning and decided to spend a the time finishing off my book in the garden and under a sun umbrella no less. It was very close and I felt unreasonably hot. I took off my shirt and read for a while. I didn’t think for very long. This afternoon I have sun burn all over my body especially over my chest not the mild stuff either. Is there any ozone left?!?!?!

    Chicago: Lobster tail.
