As for whether the squad is light in central midfield... How many other teams, mid table and down, could have this many players ruled out and still have quality like Yates, Dominguez, Anderson, Jota Silva as options? They'd surely be looking at youth team players?

I had to look him up and, yes, yet another example of a mediocre player whose profile pic on Wikipedia is in a Forest shirt.

He played more games for Brighton, Ipswich and Southampton, but his career highlight would still be us*.

*Unless Wikipedia do something clever with their picture algorithm and put a Forest photo in for me if one is available.

As we are into another international break, with a further four games added, time for an update.

Surprisingly, dead level with last season (3 wins and a draw from the equivalent games) and 4 points ahead of 22/23 (1 win and 3 draws).

To be fair (as well as being entirely reasonable given all the stoppages) that extra 13 minutes was even more entertaining than the previous - already a humdinger of a game - 90 minutes, with both teams having chances (plural) to win it and both keepers making magnificent saves to keep their teams level.

I saw the highlights and decided that I was rather glad I wasn't watching live!
