Wood hamstring injury. Taiwo on the bench. Elanga and MGW up front.
Gulp.

A 5-5-0. Fabulous!
We've certainly gone for the best footballers in defence (I.e. not Worrall) packed the midfielder and are going to he relying on Elanga's pace on the counter. Makes sense to me given what we are up against and back three of Niakhate, Murillo and Boly is really interesting.
I presume Elanga is playing centrally and will be doing his best Thierry Henry impression.
Maybe Murillo will play as a wing back, through the centre of the pitch.
He certainly gives us an attacking option in a game where I expect most of the ball will be in our half and I would expect he is going to get a lot of the ball which is a risk for Liverpool. Watch out for his long balls up to Elanga and MGW too.
The only dodgy stream I can make work has no sound.
If it's the same commentary crew I've got then you're not missing anything. Plucky Nottingham Forest and their 85 players yada yada yada.
Oof Murillo.
This is shocking. We're not in this game at all and it's just a matter of how many Liverpool feel like scoring.
I'm relying on sneakily checking Talkback and live text, and can't even Partridge. Quite glad.
Fucking abysmal defending for the 2nd goal. No one tracks the run of whoever crosses it and 2 defenders watch Nunez stroll past them to tap it in.
The one positive I’m taking from this is Dominguez appears to be the Conductor we were promised last year.
Not really sure what you were all hoping for? I think we've generally done okay here. Just undone by speed of thought and movement a few times, against a world class side. Without a fit centre forward to play off.
I was hoping for a little bit of ball retention, and some kind of improvement over the kind of capitulation on the road against good teams that chsracterised last season. So far no joy.
We haven’t been terrible but any mistakes will be punished. Unfortunately that came to pass with Muriel trying to be fancy and getting caught out. Liverpoo are lightning fast springing forward and if we aren’t perfect we will get picked off which is exactly what happened.
Hope this doesn’t end up a battering.
Our lack of options up front don’t help either.
Oh well we were always going to be up against it.
Chicago: Hoping for a plucky second half.
