Had this weird dream that Forest played well and won last night,

Also, one of the things that was used by stupid people to criticise Cooper was our low possession numbers. On Saturday, we had 60% possession, last night 33%. It's an almost completely meaningless statistic.

The pressure is already off Sheffield U and Burnley. They are going down. The (slight) uptick in form is a result of this, I'd say.

Everton have already appealed the first deduction and had it reduced from 10 to 6, so as long as we finish above Luton, Burnley and Sheff U then any appeal over a second deduction is irrelevant to us - that will probably just be the difference between Everton or Luton going down.

I think you're jumping the gun with Burnley. 3 draws and a win from their last 4 games, plus their next 3 games are Everton, Brighton and Sheff United. They aren't done yet.

Is Brighton an easy game now?

Burnley are showing some signs of life but they've won 4 of their first 31 games, how many of their last 7 can they realistically win? (Especially bearing in mind they still have to go to Old Trafford and Spurs).

They need seven more points than us in their remaining games. Not happening.

The way for Burnley to stay up is a Luton collapse combined with a big (4-6) points deduction and slide into apathy for Everton.

There's a lot of bold statements being chucked about regarding teams near the bottom not putting any sort of run together.

We have just won a game, therefore we are invulnerable.

Last season, we took 11 points from our last 6, which was pretty impressive. But we'd already won 6 and drawn 9 by that stage, so we were nothing like as bad as the current bottom three.

I think it's more that we have pulled out a big performance and shown we can secure points, whereas it's a big ask for all the others to catch us especially once Everton get another points deduction and there are lots of games amongst the team to soak up points. We took a massive step towards staying up last night and I fully expect us to do that now. That performance at this stage of the season and the resulting gap to the relegation places combine to provide that confidence.

It does feel like we are dealing with smaller numbers than usual and therefore back to back wins will do a disproportionated amount of damage to our gap.

The reaction to a win on here and twitter is bordering on hysteria. Also the condemning of Luton, Burnley and Everton is ridiculous considering we have not beaten any of them and in fact lost in the cup at home to Burnley. Forest fans are a strange lot a lone win after a shit 2024 and suddenly we are world beaters. It was a good result just as Palace was a bad result. I don't think we are safe unless we can stop leaking goals from set pieces as the one in the second half. I know i am a miserable twat but I am not going to shout from the roofs after one win in a blue moon.

What about after we shit on Spurs at the weekend?

Almost as hysterical as saying we wouldn't win any of the last dozen games?
