It’s unlikely but they beat us by that score to trigger the Steve Cooper death cycle.

Stranger things have happened and Fulham are not great away (although they beat Man yooo) at the Trafford cow shed.

They conceded 3 against the Undead so we may have a chance. The question is? ARE WE UP FOR It!!!!

Fulham are decent, we can be. The question is which Forest is turning up.

If Nuno Espirito de Boring plays Yates and Sangria in the centre again we could be fooked.

Let’s hope that we have a few ideas for this pivotal match. A chance to reel in Ever-gone and pull away from Poo-ton.

Having said all that…. 1-1 (and the agony continues)..

    Chicago: Wanting positives.

If he does this again I will officially turn on him. I can live with us going down if it comes to it, but if we go down because successive managers got scared of losing and sent out defensive teams to try and avoid it, and failed, I will be very annoyed.

    Origi is definitely starting.

    Idiocy. Projection.

Successive managers have sent teams out to win, and they know that part of winning football games is not getting pumped every time the opposition have the ball, and being out of the game before half time.

I would prefer to defend higher up the pitch. But every successful football team has to have a plan for when they don't have the ball. In your alternative universe you imagine that your way would be better. You also repeatedly insisted that this is a great squad for the level. We are all wrong about most things, most of the time. We just don't think that we are.

5-0. I'm going to this one and I'm due some quo.

I believe that this squad is capable of much better football than Cooper or Nuno have so far managed to get out of it except sporadically. I have particular issue with sending a team out with a primary mandate to sit back and disrupt, especially at home - it's sending a message to your squad that you don't think they're good enough to impose their will on the game, it's a defeatist approach and it's one that largely doesn't work.

I believe Clough said something about not worrying about what your opponents are doing, let them worry about what we're doing. We might do well to heed that a little more.

Is that on the basis of your intimate knowledge of the previous experience of our squad at EPL level, prior to them being assembled?

With the ball in play, the average time the ball is in contact with each outfield player is less than three seconds. Football is all about what you do when your team isn't connected to the ball. Which happens for all but around thirty seconds in a game. How you manage that other time, with your movement and positioning is football.

If you are looking at this squad, with it's collective ability to play consistently at the level, and you are concluding that the way forward is to play in an expansive way and take the game to the quality of opposition that we are up against, then there's little that I can say that can help you.

What cloughie did* fifty years ago, bears little relevance to modern financially doped football.

( * Which might largely be described as defending well, and hitting teams on the break.)

He must have photos of Nuno shagging a dog.

Do you think Nuno is a dog shagger? I mean he could be? What are the kinky proclivities of the Porto-geezer.

This is something to be investigated…

Can we just get a few goals tonight. Preferably 5 but who’s counting?

Did I mention Yates is going to score 3 of our 5? No? Sorry. Yates is going to score 3 of our 5.
